Speaking Events ......................................................................................................................................................... Diana Appleyard, author and journalist, and Ross Appleyard, award-winning Sky News correspondent, are both available for speaking events and conference hosting. Having both spent all of their careers working in different forms of media, both Diana and Ross have a breadth of knowledge and wealth of stories about working in the media at home and abroad.
Ross' specialities lie in stories about reporting from war zones, being the first reporter to broadcast live from inside Iraq once the war had started, and reporting from Sierra Leone and Kosovo, political journalism through both Conservative and Labour governments and the background of how he went from a trainee reporter on the Dundee Courier to award-winning journalist for Sky News.
Diana's specialities are the background to her BBC career as education correspondent, researching and reporting on Woman's Hour, appearing on Kilroy Silk, Gloria Hunniford and GM-TV and why she gave up a full-time BBC career to concentrate on motherhood and becoming an author. Diana has so far written five novels published by Transworld. Her latest novel, Playing with Fire, is out now. Every Good Woman Deserves a Lover, her last novel, reached no 2 in the Amazon lists and she sells worldwide in 12 countries.
