Ross Appleyard ......................................................................................................................................................... Ross Appleyard is an award-winning broadcast journalist who has spent the last 10 years as one of the main correspondents for Sky News. Ross started his career as a newsprint journalist on the Dundee Courier. From Dundee, he moved to York where he worked for BBC Radio York then BBC Radio in Manchester and London. Moving into television journalism, he went to Central Television in Birmingham. He arrived at Sky News in 1995 as a reporter. In his time at Sky News, Ross (pictured in Iraq) was the first British television reporter into the country when the ground war started. He spent seven months covering the Kosovo conflict and has also reported from Sierra Leone, as well as numerous trouble spots around the globe.
